A Biblical World View

The world in light of scripture

A Biblical World view simply stated is the general observation of the of the world condition in light of the stated Biblical narrative.

Since my last article, much has changed in our world; especially for those of us which place our faith and trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Each day believer’s lose more of their right to express their belief and faith in Christ Jesus.

Furthermore, I will not take time to get into all the significant, political and religious ramifications on these subjects, because they are many as well as very opinionated and conflictual.

Even the topic itself on which I write (as written by other writers) generated controversy so intense that many Christian writers throughout Social media began vehemently arguing as to whether or not there was even such a thing as a “Biblical World View”.  Very shameful!

I’m not saying there are multiple answers or multiple choices here; there are certainly not!

Right is right is right, wrong is wrong and sin is sin. With God there is NO 50 shades of grey.

Many of you won’t like this, but abortion, is WRONG! The Supreme Court recently ruled correctly; there was never a constitutional provision for abortion.  Make no mistake; Abortion IS MURDER and it is SIN!! It is the premeditated murder of innocent unborn children! Genesis 9:5-6. Exodus 21:22-25 and Numbers 5:27-28.  are just a few verses often used in relation to abortion but most theologians argue that these verses pertain to miscarriage and not the willful act of a deliberate termination of pregnancy.

As a result, we must conclude that apart from “You shall not murder” (Ten Commandments) Exodus 20:13, NKJV, the Bible does not speak directly to abortion.

In the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s I worked with Right to life and Pro-choice groups counseling women and girls as to their struggle with an otherwise (in years gone by, what would have been a simple decision). NOT one girl or women which had an abortion ever stated their first decision was the actual abortion and more often than not, every woman which had an abortion told me they regretted their decision.

The same is true concerning gun rights.

In like manner, although there is no explicit biblical reference to the gun specifically in the Bible (The Bible does support the Right to bear arms, but it uses swords in place of guns, because guns didn’t yet exist. In Luke – 22: 36, Christ says to sell your cloak and buy a sword. David took “arms” and slew Goliath, or he and the rest would have been slaughtered by the Philistines.) The right to defend and protect one’s person, property and family is very well stated and the right to bear arms is specifically stated within the constitution itself.
