Why are we here? Pt. II

with L.W. Outlaw PhD

Our reason for being

As we continue our discussion concerning our existence and Why are we here? it is clear that the answer is engulfed by the words of the Biblical text from John 1:1:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was GodHe was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

In other words, we are here because God wanted us here and we are part of His glorious creation.

Of course, that might sound simplistic and even shallow but not everything with God requires the CERN Super Collider to find a God particle answer, or a Freudian personal analysis in a $185.00 per hour therapy session.

More often than not it’s the simple answer to our question that is the correct one.

1Corinthians 1:27 reminds us, “But God chose the foolish (or simple) things of the world to shame (confuse) the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

In Pt. 3 we will discover the specifics of God’s ultimate reason for humanity’s existence.
